Piano is a versatile instrument that can lead to the study of many other instruments and to singing, and Ms. Santucci works specifically with young piano players to develop good technique, strong practice habits and thorough musicianship.
Ms. Santucci applies classical technique to everything from musical theatre to opera to pop, thereby ensuring healthy vocal techniques that will carry a student through hours of rehearsals, competitions and performances for any type of singing.
Singers are often expected to have monologues prepared for auditions to display their acting skills. Ms.Santucci has extensive experience coaching students in monologues, particularly Shakespeare, using acting techniques she developed teaching theatre for twelve years.
Many voice students head to college without a music theory background, and Ms. Santucci can provide basic music theory study so that students feel more confident entering their college music program. Studies include theory, sight-singing and dictation.
All students will be encouraged to perform in local adjudicated competitions, master classes and festivals. At the end of each school year, Santucci Music Studios will hold piano and voice recitals, and pending on interest, a monologue recital.
